The Attitudes Survey is based on responses provided during December 2023 by more than 600 private bankers, wealth advisors, intermediaries and family offices who between them manage over US$3 trillion of wealth for UHNWI clients.
According to the survey, individuals allocate approximately 30% of their total wealth to primary and secondary homes. And 23% (in Asia) and 27% (globally) share of their residential portfolio are located outside their country of residence.
Both globally and in Asia, the top motivation for purchasing a home is for investment purposes.
